Malaysia has its best ever performance in Rio 2016 even before the games ends this weekend

I have just watched the live streaming for the semi-final match between Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia and Lin Dan of China in badminton’s men single. Chong Wei lost the first game but fought back to win the second game brilliantly. His first game is full of many careless mistakes but things turned the other way round in second game. Finally, in the third and deciding game, their result was neck to neck and it made me so nervous and worried. When Chong Wei hits 20-mark while Lin Dan was lagging behind a few points, I already started to celebrate.

However, Lin Dan fought back to win few points and leveled the score to 20-20. I was back to the state of extreme nervous again. Fortunately, Chong Wei impressed by winning the last two crucial points to win the match. A big congratulation to him for defeating Lin Dan this time. Lin Dan had defeated Chong Wei in the final in both Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Olympic Games. Now, it’s Chong Wei’s turn to take him out, but this time it’s not the final match yet. However, I’m already very happy that he is now only one step away from the coveted Olympic gold medal of which no Malaysian has win before in the history of the Olympics.

Even if he lost in the final (definitely hope not), he would still be one of the greatest badminton players in the world. Who can be the Olympic silver medalist for three consecutive times? No one accomplish that before. But all our wish is now on him winning the gold medal that would be a perfect gift to end his Olympic run (he won’t be playing for the next Olympics anymore) and also a perfect gift to the whole country, Malaysia. But the country didn’t only rely on him this time, as our men doubles pair, Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Keong will be playing in the final later tonight. This is our another chance to win the gold medal. All our prayers and well wishes for them!

On the other hand, in the mixed double final that took place two days ago, Malaysian pair Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying lost, but had already made us proud. They never expected to reach the final in the first place but they did. The Indonesian pair they dealt with in the final was just too strong. Our Malaysian pair was still impressive and won a silver for Malaysia. To sum it up, this time is already Malaysia’s best ever performance in badminton in Olympic stage. A huge congratulation and thank you to all the Malaysian badminton athletes!

As for the other sports, it is a big letdown from the Malaysian archery team which couldn’t even pass the qualifying round. A good news on top of that is that Azizulhasni Awang managed to win a bronze medal in cycling-keirin event. As for diving of which Malaysia is not bad in (but China always dominated this sport just like badminton), our divers, Pandelela Nirong and Cheong Jun Hoong won silver medal in women’s 10m synchronised platform. Fantastic! However, in individual event, Pandelela Nirong who was bronze medalist in London 2012 in that didn’t manage to perform well this time. But it’s all right. They did their best.

So right now, Malaysia has 2 silver and 1 bronze which is already the best ever performance the country has in Olympic history. And then there’s still at least two silver (or hopefully two gold) already in the bag for the country. Well, now I’m hoping to be able to listen to our national anthem (Negaraku) later tonight! I will update this post soon with the latest results in badminton involving Malaysia. And again, all the best to our athletes in the finals!

Update – 20 August 2016

Unfortunately, in our men doubles match last night, our Malaysian pair went down, defeated by the China’s pair in three games. We won in the first game, looking very confident, and I’m impressed by huge improvement on the players. However, we lost terribly in second game. Then, came the deciding game. Malaysian pair was behind few points most of the time but they fought back when it was almost the end which gave us back high hope. They secured gold medal points but they missed them out twice. Luck was not on their side and pressure took the toll on them. Hence, they lost 23-21 in the last deciding game, awarding the gold to China. That’s a huge wasted opportunity. We are so near this time. Anyway, still congratulation to them as they fight to their very best despite some major crucial mistakes in the final game. At least, they got a silver.

Well, I couldn’t watch tonight’s match for the men single because I would be in the aeroplane. I sincerely wish all the best to Dato Lee Chong Wei in that final against Chen Long of China as he is our last hope for Malaysia’s first ever Olympic gold medal now. Good luck and all the best to him! The whole country will cheer behind him!

Lee Chong Wei; no fate to world’s badminton title once again.

Ahh….I was on my flight back to KL from Cambodia when the men single match of Guangzhou 2013 World Badminton Championship was taking place yesterday. And so unfortunately, I missed the showdown between Lin Dan from China and Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia, whom are both no doubt the strongest men single badminton players of current era. All Malaysians are throwing their immense support to Chong Wei, hoping for his first ever victory in world title. Once I settled down, I immediately checked my phone for the result, and I was disappointed once again.

Lin Dan won the match, claiming his fifth ever world title which is an achievement no other players have attempted before in the history of the sports. Due to his inactive participation in recent tournaments that led to his world ranking dropped out of the minimum requirement (he is now ranked 286), he managed to get himself a controversial ‘wildcard’ ticket to enter the championship this year due to the advantage of the competition this year being held in China, his home ground. Well, that granted world badminton fans a chance to witness excellent performance in the men single match to battle all out with Chong Wei.

It’s really sad and pity that Chong Wei lost to Lin Dan once again after many attempts in previous years. Yes, again for many times, especially in major tournaments where Lin Dan will only participate in. No matter how many small tournaments Chong Wei had won that secured his world ranking as world number one player, he still couldn’t manage to get on top of his career when Lin Dan is in the picture. Everyone knew he tried his best and I truly appreciate what he had done for making Malaysia proud this far. He won the first game, but eventually losing out the second and finally retiring after cramp injury when the rubber game is nearing its end (when Lin Dan definitely leading by several points). He was then immediately brought to the hospital. Chong Wei seriously has no fate to major titles like Olympics gold, and this world championship.

News reported that the sudden turning off of the air-conditioning in the stadium might have affected his performance and left him in hot atmosphere and difficulty in breathing especially during such intense play that took over 1 hour 30 minutes. Cramp injury on his leg eventually left him with no choice but to withdraw. Anyway, both still delivered astonishing sportsmanship after the tough and tiring day. Congratulations to Lin Dan! You have proven again that you are still strong despite not playing for quite some time. And a big thank you to Lee Chong Wei for have bringing the best from you despite losing. Losing is part of success. Get enough rest, spend time with family, then go for training back again, and prepare to be much stronger on future world championships and Rio 2016 Olympic Games! All the best!

Liew Daren won his first ever international title, at French Open 2012

It is a great news and it is an indication that there would be a young badminton player following the footstep of Lee Chong Wei in the sport. Liew Daren who is now 25 years old is the second best men single shuttler of the country and he is currently ranked over 20th placing, still very far from the success Lee Chong Wei enjoyed for so many years.

Lee Chong Wei is going to retire soon (he is 30 years old now) and his very last possible outing would be Rio 2016 Olympic Games only if his physical condition is good. There is a huge demand for a new younger player to continue the nation’s hope in international competitions on this particular sport. Hence, Liew Daren’s name comes to the place. Among all the junior players, he is seen as the most talented one. Despite still performing in quality far from what we see from Chong Wei, Liew Daren still had time (but actually not much time left for him to learn) to improve and he needs to get involve into more tournaments to give him experience over the sport so that he can gain advantage on skills and tactics.

I am quite surprised that he got into the final of the French Open 2012 Super Series last weekend. And what’s more important to that is him winning the tournament in men single category, defeating Viktor Axelsen from Denmark. Well…that’s his first ever international title and he must be very happy over that achievement. A big congratulation to him! Well, that should be only the beginning, for him to get more exposure on international tournaments, in hope of winning more titles and succeed Chong Wei to becomes Malaysia’s next badminton star and a big threat to China’s rule in the sport soon.

Those elite men single players from China are absent, thus giving much easier way for many young players in the tournament including Liew Daren. Of course, I would see almost no possibility of Daren winning if China sent Lin Dan, Chen Long or Chen Jin over to compete in this tournament. Let’s be honest. Even Chong Wei would find it hard to defeat them especially the mighty Lin Dan. But then, it is still a great achievement for Daren since he fought all his way to the final defeating other potential players (including the much experienced Jan O Jorgensen), and in the end, to the championship as well. Well done, Liew Daren! Even if it’s only a small title, but you still made the country proud! All the best to you in the future!

A tough and challenging win at Denmark Open 2012 turned out to be a great birthday gift for Chong Wei

What? The national TV station is not airing the final matches of Denmark Open 2012 that features Lee Chong Wei in men single and Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong in men doubles? This is quite unbelievable. Usually, whenever there is Malaysian(s) involved in the final of a badminton tournament, it would be broadcast out free to all and not only from Astro. This is quite frustrating as I would not have the opportunity to watch it then. Only those paid for Astro get to watch it…my father previously did subscribe to Sports package of Astro but then drop it off due to the unreasonable cost. Well, I have to agree to that point of escalating cost imposed to Astro subscribers nowadays.

(Image above is fromhttp://www.badmintonmalta.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/2012-Yonex-Denmark-Open-620×397.jpg)

I was ready on my seat in front of TV but it is not airing the matches out. What the…So, I just went back to my room, turned on the visual live score of the tournament and check out instant result from the on-going matches. First of all, it is quite unbelievable that Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong could make it to the final this time after showing very poor performance in recent years. They had not win any tournaments at all lately and this marks their downfall. They appears to have much lower or slighter chance of winning any more future tournaments looking from their form now. So, it’s already considered very lucky for them to have successfully entered into the final. I forgot who they deal with, but in the end, they lost. Hmm..I don’t have much high expectation from them already, so their defeat is nothing much of a surprise for me.

Then, came Malaysia’s biggest hope, from Lee Chong Wei in men single up against China’s rising new star in badminton, Du Pengyu. I was quite nervous over the result of their games as both of them came very close together in getting points. Wow…it seems that Chong Wei isn’t on his very top form from that final as it appears very hard and challenging for him to only defeat a considered junior player from China. In the end, Chong Wei still won the championship but this one isn’t easy for him apparently. Du Pengyu gave him a very serious competition but luckily, it’s still Chong Wei that prevails in the court.

It’s a close and tight game. The three games must be very exciting and intense one as both players gave good fight with Du Pengyu giving much improved performance while Chong Wei in not so steady form but still performed professionally. Too bad, I didn’t get to watch it. How come it’s not shown in TV?! So sad…anyway, a big congratulation to Chong Wei for winning the championship, adding another title for him which turned out to be a great birthday present for him as his 30th birthday falls on that day exactly. And one more happy thing for him would be his upcoming marriage with Wong Mew Choo next month. He must have been busy preparing for his marriage and tiring after frequent appearances in several tournaments right after the London 2012 Olympics. It’s time for him to get a rest, start his own family, before going all out again on his mission in badminton!

Deep respect to the hero of Malaysia, Lee Chong Wei! Eventhough he lost to Lin Dan, but he had captured the hearts of all Malaysians from his wonderful performance in the very exciting final at London 2012

Every Malaysians now would be feeling very down. I am not an exception. The result of the just-concluded men single final between Lin Dan from China and Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia in badminton of London 2012 Olympic Games is truly heartbreaking to all Malaysians. Chong Wei, the only hope for Malaysia to get first ever Olympic gold medal lost to his long-time arch nemesis, the mighty Lin Dan in three games; 21-15, 10-21, 19-21. It is a very close and narrow contest between the two, known as the top two best men single badminton players in the world currently.

Too bad, my prediction is true and that luck is not on Malaysia side. It appears that my country has no fate with the Olympic gold medal. Every Malaysians purposely had their dinner early so that they could get back home on time to watch the much anticipated final, giving chance to make the country proud from Lee Chong Wei. The chance to win the gold medal heightened as soon as Chong Wei won the first game (21-15). It is quite unbelievable and we are so excited by that time as Chong Wei had shown a very good start. Things don’t go smooth for Chong Wei in the second game. Lin Dan is much more aggresive and widen the gap between their points, hence winning the second game easily (10-21).

Then, left the last rubber game, which is the most essential. Our attention never gets off the TV screen and my heart was pumping so fast that I somehow sense a strong nervosity in my mind. I believe every Malaysians must be feeling the same. It’s the deciding game. It is a very close contest between the two. Lin Dan made some very obvious net mistakes and sometimes had his shuttlecocks aimed out of boundary. That is good for Chong Wei to earn points. However, Chong Wei himself also did several major mistakes and he is found weak on his backhand skill. Well, both played to their very best and it seems that Chong Wei’s performance is now on par to Lin Dan. What’s separate Chong Wei from winning the gold medal just now is only the luck.

Luck is not on Malaysia’s side at the last minute of the game when the score is 19-19. Few rounds earlier, it is Chong Wei that stood nearer to gold medal point, but then Lin Dan strike back hard to make the score even. Then, without wasting any further time, Lin Dan do his attacks and Chong Wei countered it with unlucky mistakes and finally lost in a very saddening way. Chong Wei immediately kneel down in a sign of extreme disappointment which is inevitable as this would be his last Olympic outing and he did not make it for the gold once again. While on the other hand, Lin Dan is too happy and excited, screaming out loud, taking off his shirts and doing a lot of patterns after becoming the first ever Olympic defending champion (won in two straight editions of the games) in badminton. It is a great achievement for him once again, but it’s a serious heartbreaking thing for Chong Wei to face. It is really sad to see him in moment after losing the last game. We all felt so sad, and to be honest, now I’m seriously feeling very down and in no mood situation. Hope Chong Wei would rise up from all those disappointments and pressure, and don’t take this defeat too seriously. You have had captured every Malaysian’s heart from your wonderful performance just now which is shown to be extremely better than his meeting with Lin Dan in Beijing 2008.

It is such a pity that he lost it out in the last few minutes of the deciding game. Luck is seriously not on Chong Wei’s side but we all know he did his very best and his performance just now is extremely good and impressive. He at least gave a very good fight and both delivered a badminton performance in the very best quality ever I have seen in men single category. Chong Wei would be forever champion in all Malaysians’ hearts despite not able to win Olympic gold medal. Nevermind, he still had two silver medals for Malaysia (one from Beijing 2008, and latest one from London 2012). He already made the country very proud. He is forced to settle for silver medal once again. On another news, Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong lost to the Korean pair in men double bronze match not long ago (few hours earlier). I didn’t watch that match because I expected Malaysia to lose for that since Korean pair is much more superior. But getting fourth placing that comes with no medal at all appears to be another big disappointment to the Malaysian pair and to the whole country. Well, this is what it is. We have to accept that. No matter what, Malaysia Boleh!

Fantastic Astro and Myfm collaboration on MV for CNY 2012!

Wow…wow…wow….That is really good! Amazing! Marvelous! Fantastic! Awesome! Great!

All that adjectives are referring to the single mix of all MVs for Chinese New Year 2012 which is coming soon right after Christmas. The MVs are produced in collaboration between Malaysia’s largest Chinese radiostation, MY FM and Malaysia’s largest broadcasting company, ASTRO. Every year for Chinese New Year celebration, MVs and a film would be produced, and this year is not an exception, welcoming a new year of ‘dragon’ based on Chinese lunar calendar. I have not heard anything on the film, but just now, I have already heard the single mix of all the MVs for the yeat which is damn good!

The MV covers all thirteen states of Malaysia as well as the capital; Kuala Lumpur, with cars and buses taking the artists to the famous location of each state and performed dance together with the general public. ‘One Malaysia’ is clearly visible here as even Malays and Indians are seen in the video performing the dance together too. Ahhaa…that is a very good Malaysian spirit! Even some foreigners are spotted joining in the fun, and to be part of the Chinese New Year MV by MY FM and ASTRO. I like the concept of travelling to all the states, with one song for each state. The songs chosen are also very good, and those songs are not new. The songs are classical CNY songs but are being translated into a more modern approach. I also find the effort on linking the language of singing the song to the state where the performance is held, like Hokkien language chosen for the performance in Penang and Cantonese for performance in Kuala Lumpur (to show the main language spoken by the Chinese in the respective region).

(If you can’t click the video above, just click the link below that will directs you straight to Youtube where the video is originated from)

rQBPTpT6wjA

This is by far the best mix of all MVs into a single MV that took almost 17 minutes; quite long but definitely interesting and enjoyable to watch and listen. All artists and even the general public are gathered to show support for the MVs which must have taken a lot of effort in production. It would be much better if even our local Malaysian artists could participate. Famous landmarks of the country representing each state are also shown. Really great job and creative production by MY FM and ASTRO! Now, this video which I have watched twice personally, had brought up the Chinese New Year atmosphere here, even when the Christmas is not over yet! That’s cool….You must have the same feeling with me after watching it! This video deserves more attention!

Chong Wei lost to Lin Dan for world’s title…but it was a good game!

It’s the most anticipated badminton match not only of the competition, but also of the year. It’s the men single final of Yonex BWF Badminton World Championship 2011, and the finalists are Lin Dan from China and Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia. Of course I am supporting my own country, and so my hope is high on Chong Wei whom is honoured ‘Datuk’ title due to him winning silver medal back in Beijing 2008. Lin Dan and Chong Wei are no doubt the top two best badminton players in the world in our generation, but when facing each other in this final, who will win?

It turned out that Lin Dan won the title again, which is among the greatest title for a badminton player. He have had won the title in several editions, while Chong Wei’s list of winning tournaments did not includes the grand ones like Olympics and this World Championship, and that data remains the same till today after the final clash between him and Lin Dan. Lin Dan won in three games, losing the first one, but giving all out in last two games to nail it. Chong Wei won the first game in quite a difficult and challenging situation, leading the margin of 2 points to win the first game; 22-20.

That is a very good and promising start for Chong Wei. However, in the second game, Lin Dan took over Chong Wei easily and gained many points to further the gap and finally Chong Wei lost the second game; 14-21. Then, it’s up to the third game to decide the winner and the atmosphere is going extremely strong, not only in the stadium at London, but also in many homes in Malaysia where people are watching and supporting like me and my family. The points are close together, and that is what makes the game much more intense and exciting as both players tried their best for not only the title, but also for a good game. It’s 20-20, and they stayed on for a good fight before the luck goes to Lin Dan on winning the deciding game; 23-21. It’s really a heart-stopping moment at that time…Really felt very disappointing!

There had been many meetings between the two players and Lin Dan won majority of it. This final is not an exception. After the winning moment, Lin Dan as usual quickly getting overreacting to show his dominance as the true world best badminton player despite Chong Wei is the world number one ranked player due to his record in winning many tournaments (smaller scale). Anyway, the final between them just now is truly a good game; very interesting and exciting. Both delivered brilliant performance that couldn’t be attempted by any other players. Congratulation to Lin Dan for winning the world’s title again, and also a word of encouragement for Chong Wei to try his best again in future, especially in London 2012 Olympics. Now it is proven that Chong Wei is truly presented as a player that could really challenge Lin Dan for a real fight on badminton court. Wow…my facebook page now is flooded with this badminton news!

The match just now is truly a thrilling and sensational 81-minutes badminton game at its best!

Chong Wei won Indian Open 2011

When is my last post on badminton? I can’t remember. It’s been a long time that I did not watch any badminton tournaments and posting the result and my comment up here. Today is the final of the Indian Open 2011 Super Series, which we saw world number one, Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia up against Peter Hoeg Gade from Denmark. Finally I had the opportunity to watch the match at home and I expected Chong Wei to win it easily.

Lee Chong Wei really had won the match in three games, winning the first and the deciding games but lost in the second game. Eventhough he had won it, but he did not win it easily. Peter Gade is proven to be a tough match for him this time. In their previous meetings, Lee Chong Wei defeated Peter Gade a number of times very easily and that shows the real power of Chong Wei. However, for this match today, I think it is among the worst performances by him despite winning this.

I absolutely cannot believe that he lost in the second game, quite terribly to Peter Gade. Peter Gade is a strong opponent many years ago but definitely not now. However, he seems to be posing a certain difficulties to Chong Wei today. All that shows that Chong Wei had lost some of his glory which reached its peak between 2007 till 2010. He retained his world number one title for a long time due to his participation in a lot of tournaments and that does not prove his perfection in badminton especially when dealing with the real world best badminton player, Lin Dan from China. The whole team from China did not participate with no valid reason and this is always the same, and that is why I don’t like China’s team eventhough they are strong. They seems to have pay no respect to all these smaller tournaments.

It’s almost the time for Chong Wei to retire, probably after London 2012 Olympic Games. Really hope that he would do the best for the olympic unlike the previous final with Lin Dan.  There is no younger players from Malaysia that could follow his footstep to be a bright badminton player for the moment. Chong Wei might be our last pride in badminton’s world. Anyway, congratulation to him for winning the Indian Open 2011, his fourth title of the year.

First All England title for Chong Wei

It’s been quite a tough day of final for Lee Chong Wei as he struggled to win his first All England Badminton Championship 2010 title. The tournament is the world oldest badminton tournament, and this year, it celebrated its 100th anniversary. Hence, winning the century edition’s men single title is definitely memorable for Lee Chong Wei, from Malaysia who is also the world number one player.

Yonex All England Open Badminton Championships 2010

Chong Wei had won many other titles, of the twelve super series tournaments and super series master final, gold prix, etc as well as the silver medalist of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. However, he had never won the prestigious All England title. This time, yesterday, he did it. He had finally won the title, which means that he had won four consecutive back-to-back titles.

The opponent, Kenichi Tago from Japan is a young player, but very talented and skillful. He gave a hard time to Chong Wei and even score higher than him in beginning of the match. However, Chong Wei’s determination leads him to get back to position and finally won over the Japanese, 21 – 19, 21 – 19, in two straight games.

It is a proud moment for all Malaysians who were willing to stay up late till 1am midnight to watch the live broadcast of the final. Even there are a number of Malaysians cheering and waving flag in the stadium. Nice to see Lee Chong Wei winning the title that he had desired for a long time. Finally, he got it, it’s in his hand! Continue your success an be a legend in world of badminton!

‘Malaysia in Malaysia’ Proton Open 2010

The BWF World Super Series Malaysia Proton Open 2010 badminton championship had just ended few minutes ago, after the end of all matches of the day of the final. The tournament is held at the Stadium Putra, Bukit Jalil, a large indoor stadium in the National Sports Complex.

malaysia_2010

I have watched the semi final yesterday, and it’s really cool to watch badminton especially when I’m free….relaxing, enjoying the intense matches…eventhough some games are kinda boring sometimes…hooray…Malaysia’s Lee Chong Wei went into the final of men single after beating Nguyen Tien Minh whom is a very talented player from Vietnam…however, Malaysia’s Chin Eee Hui and Wong Pei Tty lost in women doubles to China excellent team. Another delight came again, as Malaysia’s Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong went to final of men doubles beating Chinese pairs.

Today is the final…I will be surely in front of TV again, since I like to watch all these finals of badminton tournaments. It’s fun, enjoying, exciting and intense at some moments. Great, two matches involving Malaysia gave the winning championship to home soil. Lee Chong Wei beats Boonsak Ponsana from Thailand in 21 – 13, 21 – 7. In first half of the first game, the result is so close, that Boonsak took lead few times, but finally, Chong Wei attacked strongly and winning continous 20 rallies (counting the next second game). Second game is definitely easy for Chong Wei whom control the whole game perfectly.

Another match is the men doubles. Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong up against Guo Zhendong and Xu Chen, talented new players from China. Both pairs are great. Malaysian pair is good in attacking using different strategies, while China pair is good in strength. Finally, it is the time for Malaysian pair to win, 21 – 15, 17 – 21, 21 – 16. At the first game, it is the China pair that leads first, but then Malaysian pair gave a good fight and won continously, but not on second game, when their strategy changed inapropriately and lose out. Finally, on the third and deciding game, the result is very close, and till the last part, then only Malaysian pair prevailed.

Ahh…both matches are exciting…the crowds are cheering, shouting, clapping, waving national flags to support Malaysian team…great performances….other matches too, check out the results obtained from tournament software site:

Women doubles : Du Jing, Yu Yang (China) beats Ma Jin, Wang Xiaoli (China) 21 – 16, 21 – 12.

Women single : Wang Xin (China) beats Bae Youn Joe (Korea) 19 – 21, 21 – 17, 14 – 6 (retired). Bae Youn Joe suffered from ankle injury and she stayed on the match for few rallies before quitting. What the….she is not treated for any medical examination, where is all the people responsible for this? Sleeping?…giving such a bad image to Korea. Sorry, Bae Youn Joo…hopes she will get recover soon, she is a great player…

Mixed doubles: Tao Jiaming, Zhang Yawen (China) beats Thomas Laybourn,Kamilla Rytter Juhl (Denmark) 19 – 21, 21 – 18, 21 – 15. This is a real exciting match…eventhough Malaysia is not involved in this match, but everyone is excited by the intense match.Great performance by both pairs! Finally, China won three matches, while Malaysia won two…China, the dominant country in badminton, should feel the presence of Malaysia by now!

Great…great…great….Lee Chong Wei is now the most successful player in the history of badminton super series, went into 18 finals of tournaments and winning 11 (including this one), defeating Lin Dan from China, the current Olympic champion. The first two tournaments of the year 2010 participated by Chong Wei also lead to him winning both titles…hope this goes on….wishing him all the best, and to other Malaysian players too, especially Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong whom can be great in future after certain improvements, since now, they are world number one too.
