My prayer and thought to the people of Paris. A big ‘NO’ to terrorism and extremism.

When I woke up today, the first thing I do is to check up my Facebook home page and surprised to see many friends posting a prayer message for people of Paris. Something bad must have happened in Paris and I am shocked once I read breaking news from some online news portal immediately after that. If you guys still didn’t know or seldom update yourself with latest news, there were multiple terror attacks in Paris, France on last Friday’s night that killed more than 150 innocent people. My prayer and thought to the people of Paris.

‘On a night when thousands of Paris residents and tourists were reveling and fans were enjoying a soccer match between France and world champion Germany, horror struck in an unprecedented manner. Terrorists — some with AK-47s, some reportedly with bombs strapped to them — attacked sites throughout the French capital and at the stadium where the soccer match was underway. Scores were killed in the coordinated attacks late Friday, leaving a nation in mourning and the world in shock.’ from CNN.

Attacks were reported in over 7 different locations in the city that are quite nearby to each other, further proving that the attacks were coordinated. French president, Francois Hollande was watching the soccer match between france and Germany in Stade de France when explosions outside the stadium were heard. He was immediately brought away to safety. Gunmen also stormed into a Paris concert hall named Bataclan taking hostages and killing people inside when a heavy metal concert by an American group is on-going. Investigations are in progress to the purpose and the group behind the ruthless attacks but earlier sources said that it is linked to IS / jihadists.

I’m not being racist here but I think the probability for them doing these kind of acts in the name of their God is very high, given their past records of murders and suicide bombing across the world. Their mindset went totally negative and they are simply just putting their God in a very bad picture. I believe no religions in this world would want to create violence and kill people. This is why I stand united with the rest of the world to go strongly against any form of terrorism and extremism. Hence a ‘NO’ to violence and war too. It’s just so sad and heartbreaking to see these kind of tragedies happening a lot and also frequently in recent years.

Talking about extremism, this ideology is also present in my very own country, Malaysia too which is a nation comprising of people of different races and religions. Thoughts with extremism are like inevitable in countries like us but I’m considered happy that our country remain peaceful besides than the past 513 riot that took place in 1969 after a general election. But that was many decades ago. However, I also heard now that many Muslims in Malaysia are joining IS militant group. Wow..this is bad. Hopefully we can put an end to all this in Malaysia. And that wish applies to the whole world too.
